2 down 3 left to go. I think this sem has been by far a pretty smooth sailing one... til now, that is. I abhor exams! But then again who doesn't? [you don't? well really come look for me. I'll hire u to do past exam yr papers for a pretty decent rate.]

And i think i share most people's sentiments when i say that exams are totally unreflective of a person's intellect. No doubt it was exams that put me in the position i am now in the first place, but think of all those people, who by cruel twists of misfortunes, and were of naturally considerable intellect, but are elsewhere below us right now.

And intellect is defined so narrowly in our society. I think people who chereograph dance moves, write music, do fashion designing, produce novels and movies are mostly intelligent people and incredibly-brilliantly-fantastically creative to boot, though their economic value often doesn't reflect the true worth of such considerable intellect. Unless that is, they are the most talented of their pool, and have earned a credible reputation and status.

For nearly a good 2 years now i've been living in a sort of drivenless existence. Til that is, today's sermon happened. I needed that bad a wake up call, to reaffirm my self-belief, and to re-think my life goals, focus and purpose. Though that isn't to say i went home today a totally changed person, [heh], but i was surely re-focused. Its like groping around for ages in various directions, hitting obstacles and falling, til someone comes around, picks up that old specs u've been constantly searching for, and your vision transforms instantly from a state of bluriness to CLARITY.

That CLARITY was beautiful.

and very very much appreciated.
