Cheerobics 2006.

I'm gonna blog about this cos if i procrastinate any further its never gonna get posted. =P
Cheerobics 2006 was quite eventful, though this year there was a slight drop in standards, only NTU Aces, and probably St. Hilda's Primary's did better than expected. And those 2 teams were the top winners for Open category and Primary Category respectvely.

And 5 time national champion NP Magnum Force eventually got dethroned. (which i kinda like cos it does some good for their blown up egos) Boy were they crushed. When they were called out as first runner-ups most girls basically put up a brave front, but were already in the verge of tears. Eventually, even the boys broke down. Geez~

Ok i know the girl looks like she got sucked up into the air by some unparallel force but! in reality she's getting a throw up from ground level to the top.

I think they display great potential. Though they didn't win anythin this year, it was a fantastic first time effort.

Oh yah i gotta add this year's event was terribly lacklastre. It was as if NTU couldn't clinch enough cash sponsorships, they downgraded everything from venue, judges' tables, mats...Finals was held in Toa Payoh HDB hub area instead of town or Suntec. And i gotta bitch about the ushers/helpers of the event. They were mostly redundant and an eye-sore basically cos they were blocking everybody's view of the main performing area. They pulled terribly long serious faces when the occasion was supposed to be hyped out and out-of-this-world happy. Such bummers really.

And can i mention how much i miss this bunch of ppl?!! (including Augustio and the Vespers juniors). I miss those competitive cheerleading days, those times we fussed over routines, stunts and dance moves. Damn it i miss being bimbotic even.

Perhaps one day when i feel i can balance my life all over again i might go back...just perhaps. =)
