.Beautiful Disaster.

I'm back! The rain simplyyy keeps falling down in Singapore.Terribly glad we missed the rainfest though, Bangkok had a lovely cool December weather, and of course we shopped lots. =)

Quite a major shopping feat i must say. We combed Platinum Mall, MBK, FBT, Jatuchat and on a nightly basis, dearest Suan Lum to get all these finds. Though in all honesty it wasn't quite enough, there were many many more stuffs and places to go to, but time wasn't on our side.

And perhaps i hadn't really prayed hard enough prior to flying off. I had an accident whilst in Bangkok the very first night we landed. =( Clumsy me fell into a pithole alongside the pedestrain walkway whilst talking to Weida. I din't know whether it was serial night blindness, the fact that i was engrossed in the conversation, or simply due to accidental reasons. I guess it must have been a combination of all 3. I remember threading so very carefully that night, but i just wasn't expecting a damn friggin HOLE on the walkway. Like whoooo would look out for HOLES! along a walkway?!

Anyway i regress. Well my right foot fell in and scratched the concrete edge. I wasn't expecting it to be too serious(though i was in deep shock) cause it din't hurt that much, but the wound was really nasty. Had to go to Phaythai hospital to stitch it up, take a vaccine and get it all bandaged up. I dun think i'l post pictures cos it'll remind people of SAW 3. Grossness Galore.

Oh and hospital fees came out to be quite high (even in baht), i had to go round begging people for money on the last 2 days..=(

Really gotta thank people like Charz(who dressed my wound), Swi n Matt(who took me to the hospital), Leon (for paying the fees, i still owe you dude), and the rest who enquired and expressed much concern. There. Travelling with me is just so very eventful. I'm just plain accident prone.

Had really mixed feelings about the whole trip, though overall i enjoyed the experience (injury not withstanding). Besides the shopping, i got to know the rest of the peeps, esp Mish n Leon, on a much deeper level. This was one trip i felt bugged by my singlehood more (ha!), and one trip which was probably quite an real eye opener, Patpong, thai culture, conniving taxi drivers and all.

And besides the flu, cough, phlegm, injured leg and impending scar woes that r currently inflicting me, i'm proud to say i did well enough for academic this semester. In fact i think its my bestest scoring sem thus far, and i am (waves pong pong in the air!!) doing my honours year in Sociology. I've had doubts all sem through, yet i've held on to the vision, and i'm so glad faith has delivered. Looking forward to next semester! Like totallyyyy! (cue Jessica's lingo)
